Instructions for adjusting a replacement display together with the old platform:
Since each platform outputs slightly different measurements, you have to adjust (calibrate) the new display together with the old platform. The display "learns" how strong the signal is at a certain weight.
In order to correctly adjust the scale, the mostreference weight should be more accurate than the scale!
Manual
Hold down the TARE key without a weight on the scale, and then simultaneously press the UNIT key. The required reference weight C XXX appears on the display (e.g. C100 = 100.00kg) *
Place the weight on the platform, the adjustment process starts automatically. After successful adjustment, the placed weight appears in kg.
Alternatively, or in addition, you can carry out an adjustment with a "half" weight.
Proceed as described above until the required calibration weight appears (e.g. C100 = 100.00kg). Now press the UNIT button again. The scale halves the weight. (e.g. C50 = 50.00kg).
NOTE: We recommend appropriate test weights of accuracy class OIML M2 (For scales in Series PSB) or M1 (PSE scales). These weights have a very low manufacturing tolerance and are more precise than the scales can recognize the weight on them (a 100kg weight, or 10 x 10kg weights of class M1 may differ by a maximum of + -0.005kg). This is the only way to ensure that the scale will then function properly.
You can get test weights for rent from many verification offices or balance technicians, who can also carry out an adjustment or calibration of the complete balance.
In general, the scale can also be adjusted with other things that correspond as closely as possible to the specified reference weight, e.g. at 100kg with 4 * 25kg cement bags. The scale adjusts itself to the weight of the cement bags and will then function to the extent that a weight of 100.00kg is displayed for the 4 bags, but this display will probably have a linear error of a few% (The actual weight consists of the amount contained in the bags of 25kg each, +/- a fluctuation in the filling quantity due to packaging, + the weight of the packaging of the bags).
If the scales are only be used for non-critical applications, for example if they are only used to mix the cement in the correct ratio with water to enable good processing, this is not a problem (since the error has a linear effect on the complete measuring range, the ratio of the two substances will also be correct on an incorrectly adjusted balance).
For applications where the actual weight is required, we strongly recommend an adjustment with the appropriate test weights!
If you have no possibility to adjust the scales with the correct weights on site, the first thing to do is send us your old platform. We will adjust the old platform with the new display and send you both together. In this case, simple adjustment of our scales costs nothing.

Repair information, especially for for technicians and DIY:
Everything on the display can be repaired, and all components are individually in stock. If e.g. If only the LCD display is broken, this would be available individually for 5 € and can be changed quite easily with the appropriate electrical skills and with the available equipment (screwdriver, soldering iron + desoldering pump, side cutter). This also has the advantage that the chip on which the adjustment is saved is retained. No new adjustment is required.
If you have no way of repairing the display yourself, we will be happy to do it for you. We estimate our technician costs at 60 € per hour, repairing a broken display takes 15 minutes (including German VAT € 17.85, + € 5 for the spare part, i.e. cheaper than a completely new display).
We also offer further components of our scales directly on contact, prices for most spare parts can be found here Pricelist Spareparts & Repairs
