Current shipping information & corona-related restrictions
All parcel services are currently facing major challenges every day. In the run-up to Christmas there has always been a higher volume of parcels, but this year the situation is exacerbated again by the fact that almost all of the Christmas shopping takes place online and many gifts are not handed over personally and at the same time corona-related safety precautions cause restrictions. In the last few months, all parcel services have tried to prepare themselves as best as possible with additional staff, but capacities have now been exceeded in many parcel centers. The sorting systems simply cannot work faster than in the highest gear, the 24-hour shift operation has been standard for weeks. This also means that trucks often are not unloaded quickly enough, which leads to further delays in other places.
