Note: These scales are delivered with a sturdy plastic weighing surface, sufficient for normal use. Can be ordered for very high requirements to protect against wear or for easier cleaning.
The weighing surface is made of stainless steel (1.4301 / AISI 304), suitable for direct contact with food.

However, for use in the catering or food industry, we recommend an IP67 protected waterproof scale.
If the PSA is used in restaurant kitchens our experience has shown that the humidity is often high, this can cause problems in the electronic, even without direct contact with moisture. Also for easy cleaning, an ES scale would be the better choice in the long term.
