The HCG-1 platform scale is specially designed for mobile use and is supplied in a transport case for easy and safe transport.
The energy supply is normally provided by a 9V block battery, alternatively a power supply unit is also included.
The stainless steel platform measures 27 * 27 cm, the spiral cable for connection to the display can be extended up to approx. 1 meter.
Pros:
The scales are generally built in such a way that a rough use is not a big problem. The display has a metal housing and is designed to withstand bumps relatively well (nevertheless: the scale is a sensitive measuring instrument and should be treated accordingly).
The scale is delivered in a transport case and the cable between the display and the platform is firmly connected to each other. This enables reliable values, as incorrect signal transmission due to a badly fitting plug is avoided. This can be an advantage, especially when often used at different locations, since the scale does not have to be set up first.
Restriction:
As with most cheap platform scales, the load cells in the HCG are built directly into the 4 feet of the scales, which is why a level and non-yielding surface is always required.
Uneven or yielding floors such as carpet mean that the weight is distributed differently on the sensors of the scale. In this case, the scales would show a weight fluctuating in the display or would determine it incorrectly.
The HCG has no settings menu, the automatic switch-off (2 minutes) cannot be deactivated. Since the cable between the display and the platform is soldered on both sides, this enables good signal transmission, but would make an economically sensible repair in the event of a damaged display impossible.
Alternatives:
If the scale is used stationary, for example as a regular parcel scale in your warehouse, we offer our DJ-SA with an identical platform size, removable display and a display bracket for wall or table.
