Overview
The electronic scales KF-15KA, KF-25KA and KF-15KB are multifunctional bench scales, designed for the use of demanding private users and based on the know-how and technology of our professional models.
Due to the large measuring range with a capacity of 15kg or 25kg, the scales are ready for all work, regardless of whether you want to use the scales to weigh the ingredients for a huge cake for the next family celebration or send a heavier package every now and then.
Case
The surface of the scale is made of sturdy ABS plastic, on the underside there are 4 height-adjustable feet with which you can align the scale perfectly. Use on an uneven surface is therefore no problem.
The balance is delivered with a large stainless steel weighing surface with a diameter of over 24 cm, which is attached to a separate support.
You can easily remove them for easy cleaning.
The whole scale is shaped in such a way that the usual accumulating dirt does not get into the interior of the scale. Some liquid on the weighing surface runs down the side and not into the inside of the balance and the area of the display and keyboard is completely covered.
(Note: Sealed, not completely waterproof. If you are looking for an IP67 protected scale that you can wash and work with underwater when switched on, we recommend the ES series).
Sensor & Measuring range
Depending on the version, the scales either work in 1g steps or, thanks to the multi-range technology of the strain gauge sensor in the KF-15-KB, in the area where it matters, even in very fine 0.1g steps, which is 10 times as much just like other household scales, without having to worry about losing their maximum capacity.
A small application example of what this means for the KF15KB:
If you weigh the ingredients in your recipes when using it as a kitchen scale, you can first set a bowl or mixing bowl to "0" with the TARE function. Now start adding light ingredients such as salt, spices or yeast and the scale can determine this weight very precisely with the very fine 0.1g readability until a total of 3000g is on the scale. As soon as you reach a weight of 3001g, the scales determine the weight in 1g steps.
So you have 10 to 100 times more accurate measurement results on these scales than with conventional household scales that only work in 1g steps.
Other precision scales can also measure in 0.1g steps, but then have losses in terms of the maximum measuring range because often only a few 100g are covered.
We could also offer you scales that work up to 10, 20 or 30 kg in very fine 0.1 g increments, but these professional models are in a higher price range.
With the KF15-KB series, G&G offers you the best of all three variants in a compact and reliable device, at a first-class price-Performance.
The cheaper KF15KA works permanently in 1g steps, if you appreciate the functions and reliability of the series, but do not need the result accurate to 0.1g, you have come to the right place.
Our KF-25KA has the largest measuring range up to 25kg. This model also works consistently with 1g.
Power suplly and settings
The scale offers the option to switch off after 15 minutes in battery operation.
Unlike most household scales, the KF models do not switch off after just a few minutes. If the 15 minutes switch-off time is not enough for you, you can extend the time to up to 60 minutes - or keep the scales permanently active.
This is also the standard function in mains operation, the scale remains switched on until you decide something else and is therefore immediately ready for the next use.
Nevertheless, the KF balance is of course designed to be as energy-saving as possible. As soon as the display jumps to "0" and the scale is not used, the energy-saving mode is activated and the background lighting of the display is also switched off. The balance's consumption now drops to only approx. 0.3 W. As soon as you place something on the weighing surface, the balance is activated again and shows you the result in the illuminated display.
Batteries and the power supply unit are included in the scope of delivery.
Display and functions
Nevertheless, the KF scale is of course designed for the most energy-saving use possible and a self-illuminating LED display is installed.
You can determine how strongly the digits shine by clicking on the "BRIGHT" button.
In addition, you can use the UNIT key to specify the unit in which the weight is displayed. Optionally, the scales automatically convert the result into grams (g), kilograms (kg) or English pounds (lb).
Applications areas
The scales are ideally suited for all applications where a very fine result is just as important as a large measuring range. Regardless of whether you measure your mail and parcels or plan to mix small amounts of pigments with colors, create your own cosmetics with high-quality oils, perfectly portion fertilizer for your plants or so that each of the 20 servings of potato salad tastes just like grandma's original recipe at the next family celebration.
