Replacement battery for the BPS-F digital scale for DIY repair
Important note: This 4,5V battery is ONLY suitable for the BPS scale, a soldering iron is required to change it!
All other G&G scales that have a built-in battery require the 6V battery which you can also find in the shop.
Installation advice:
Depending on the version of the balance (the BPS has been on the market for > 10 years and there have been some small changes), 1-3 cables are soldered to each pol of the battery. The colour of the cables can differ in the insulation.
Before removing the battery, we recommend taking a photo of the old position and the cables connected to the poles so that you can reconnect the cables correctly to the poles of the battery (marked as red + black). The battery is held in position with a screwed clamp and additionally fixed on the underside with double-sided adhesive tape to avoid rattling.
The easiest way to remove it is to pry the battery upwards with a blunt object (e.g. a spoon) after removing the clamp.

Batteries may not be disposed with household waste. As the end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries properly.
You can return old batteries that we sell or have sold as new batteries free of charge to our dispatch warehouse (dispatch address).
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meanings:
The symbol of the crossed out garbage can means that the battery must not be thrown into the household waste.
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 mass percent lead
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury.
