The E-S series is dustproof and watertight.
No splash water protection for a few drops, but switched on 30 minutes in one meter deep water is no problem, TÜV certified according to IP67!
The whole thing applies not only to a sealed housing, but to ALL components that are installed in the scale. From the load cell to the circuit boards, which are encapsulated in thick synthetic resin. Even if water gets into the housing, this doesn't matter at all with this scale.
Even large amounts of dust or dirt are no problem for the scale. This makes the scale particularly interesting as a kitchen scale for professional use, for example for weighing flour in bakeries and when working with wet food or e.g. ingredients that require thorough cleaning of the entire scale under running water.
