PSE platform scales in versions between 75kg and 300kg.
The robust housing of the platform emerged from the professional TC-KL series, which is equipped with a weaker load cell and evaluation electronics.
"Weaker" means in comparison to the TC-KL:
We suggest it for a livespan of "only" 100,000 measurements (which is achieved with 10 measurements a day with 365 days a year in 27 years) instead of 1,000,000 at the TC-Series.
Bigger readout steps (e.g. in the version PSE150 and TC120KL: 20g steps at PSE, instead of 10g steps at TC-KL)
Larger tolerances: The scale may have a linearity of +- 3 readout steps, instead of +- 1 readout step at TC-KL)
The other advantages of the TC-KL also apply to the PSE:
At the very bottom, on the floor, are only 4 height-adjustable feet (each can be turned out 10 millimeters). This feet are fixed in a base plate from casted aluminum, on which a single stain gauge load cell is placed. Above the load cell sits a second frame from casted aluminum with an included mechanical overload protection and on which the stainless steel weighing plate is placed.
This design has a huge advantage over scales like the PSB, where in each of the 4 feet a single and tiny load cell is placed. The measuring just concists of the weight that is pushing the upper frame down to the bottom frame, independent on the underground. This makes it possible to also work on soft and yielding undergrounds like carpet, on wet or uneven floors on construction sides or outsides on mobile use cases on gravel or paving.
The connection between the platform and the display is connected with a cable screwed at the top and bottom, ensuring a secure hold but easy to replace.
