Design type
With a weighing surface of 340 * 215 mm, the TC series is our largest bench scale - that is, a compact scale with a display directly on the scale body. Larger platforms are only available as platform scales, where the weighing surface and the operating unit are separated from each other by a cable.
The weighing surface itself is made of stainless steel and has a small indentation in the middle, practical when weighing round objects (avoiding rolling away).
The white upper shell of the scale is made of impact-resistant ABS and sits on the gray substructure, which is made of one piece of cast aluminum. This gives stability and ensures a stable and non-yielding suspension of the strain gauge load cell. The internal holder, the mechanical overload protection and the bracing up to the receptacle for the weighing surface are made of metal.
The power is supplied by means of a power cable with Schuko plug (CEE 7/4), which can also be used to discharge a slight static charge on the scale (unavoidable when working with e.g. plastic granulate or other bulk goods).
At the very bottom are the 4 height-adjustable feet, the alignment is done by using the built-in bubble level (spirit level).
Functions
Switching on / off:
The balance does not have an automatic switch-off function. Once turned on, the scales will run for years if necessary.
TARE:
Set display to "0".
"Switch":
ADisplay can be switched between KG and LB (arrow key)
COUNT:
Activate counting function. The counting function can be started with 1, 10, 20, 50 or 100 pieces as the reference quantity (the larger the reference quantity, the greater the accuracy of the result, especially with very light weights).
PRINT:
The current display is transmitted as ASCII code via the RS232 interface. Information on the interface (connection to printer or evaluation of the results on the computer) can be found at GandG.de
CAL:
Calibration / adjustment. The balance has an external adjustment mode. If the TC is misaligned, the scale can be readjusted with an external reference weight.
The required weight depends on the max. Measuring range of the balance, see data sheet.
Technical specifications
For a simple overview, we have split the TC series into three price classes:
We differentiate the TC series into the normal models, e.g. TC10K (up to 10kg in 1g steps).
Higher resolution scales are marked with a "B" at the end of the model name, e.g. the TC10KB (up to 10kg with 0.1g, which is 10 times more accurate than the regular 1g-scale, for about twice the price).
If such great accuracy is not required, we can offer the balance with an "A" at the end, e.g. the TC10KA (Up to 10kg with 2g steps).
There is no difference in quality and durability, all TC are designed for tough daily use and a lifetime of > 1.000.000 measurements.
