Description

Our EY is the origin of the cheaper PLC series, optically similar (because it has an identical housing) but it is equipped with more reliable and more accurate measuring technology.
All scales in the EY series can be operated with either AA batteries (all regular EY scales) or a build in battery at the bigger E-KY models with 30 * 22 cm weighing plate. This enables a usage of 70 hour of mobile usage. As soon as you connect the scale to the power supply unit, the battery is charged while you can use it in main power supply.

The scales are available in various versions between 100g / 0.001g with a glass draft shield for optimal shielding of disruptive air movements and with a 170 * 195 mm weighing surface with 6kg / 0.1g and an RS-232 connection.

Basic
The "Basic" versions of the EY have the same housing, functions and control options (computer interface), but are kept simpler (e.g. without a spirit level) and are available in versions up to 6kg / 1g (6000 readability steps). As "EY-Basic" the scale is priced slightly above the T-Y series (with e.g. 5kg / 1g), but clearly below the normal EY with e.g. 6000g / 0.1g (60,000 readability steps).

In the normal price range, we offer these scales with 60,000 readability steps, e.g. 600g / 0.01g (model: E600Y).
The model measures 10 times more precisely than the corresponding version in the "E600YA" variant with the same measuring range. These scales have an additional bubble level and a plastic draft shield is included in the scope of delivery for scales with 0.01 g.

The third option is the extended version of the scale. In terms of measurement technology, this is the normal model, but e.g. the small plastic windshield has been replaced with a beautiful, larger glass windshield (on all sides). Both side windows and the roof can be pushed open to the rear.
You can recognize the balance by a "C" at the end of the model name.
The most expensive models correspond to the "C" and are equipped with an even finer load cell (up to 300,000 measuring steps, recognizable by a "B" at the end of the model description).
We can also offer the scales with 300g / 0.001g or 3,000g / 0.01g.

If this capacity or the size of the weighing surface is not sufficient, the E-KY with its 300 * 210 mm weighing surface enables an application range between 3kg and 30kg.

The scales are equipped with an internal battery as standard, which provides sufficient power for 70 hours of operation. For charging, or in pure mains operation, simply plug the scale into the supplied power supply unit.

The base is made of sturdy cast aluminum and, together with 4 adjustable feet, offers a stable hold; the alignment is carried out using the leveling vial.
Together with the modern design, the large, brightly lit LCD display and the various options, the scale fits into many work environments.

Please note:
The EY was developed and designed to work as well as possible in mobile use.
However, we only recommend the EY if mobile use is actually absolutely necessary and there is no possibility of permanently supplying the scale with power from a nearby socket.
With permanent stationary use, there would be scales like the E or JJ, which offer even better reliability in the same price range. E.g. because the housing is made of metal instead of lightweight plastic and unlike an JJ-A housing, it does not provide any protection against electric radiation (smartphones nearby might cause interferences with the measurement results).
A display with self-illuminating LED digits would also be much more robust, an LCD that we use in the E-Y and E-KY would only make sense if you switch off the background lighting to extend the battery life or use the scale in a very bright environment (e.g. outside in sunlight).
